The Federation of Independent Space Travelers began shortly
before turn 500 to answer a simple need in TBG. The universe was just too quiet. With the exception of a lone pirate
and a practical joke called the Omega Strykers, there was no conflict in the game. The captains of the Mendelssohn and the Maher Shalal Hash Baz sent out recruiting letters and obtained agreements of non-interference from the most politically active Prophets of that time. FIST was born. Our first web page and our opening techniques were naturally confrontational when you consider the issues that needed to be addressed. Much of our writing and meetings during that time reflected the martial tone needed to transform the galaxy of TBG from a dull wasteland to a dangerous wonderland. Working behind the scenes then and in the political forefront later, FIST members exerted their influence in order to enhance the TBG experience. |
